Wes Colley is a Senior Fellow and Chief Scientist for Strategic Defense at Torch Technologies, Inc., where responsibilities include modeling and simulation support for ballistic and hypersonic missile defense, encompassing areas such as physics-based modeling, algorithm development, analysis, software development, and verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A). Prior experience includes a role as Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, focusing on modeling, simulation, analysis, and supply chain analysis, as well as course development in related fields. Additional positions include Senior Research Scientist at ODU Virginia Modeling, Analysis & Simulation Center, Lecturer in Astronomy at the University of Virginia, and Technical Research Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Wes Colley also completed postdoctoral research at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, contributing to significant astrophysics research initiatives. Wes Colley earned a Ph.D. in Astrophysical Sciences from Princeton University and a B.A. in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Virginia.
