William A. Clarkson has extensive experience in the real estate and finance industry. William A. began their career at CoStar Group as a Research Associate, analyzing commercial property sales. William A. then worked at Cassidy & Pinkard (now Cushman & Wakefield) as a Market Analyst, supporting the capital markets group with underwriting and market projections. Clarkson later joined First Potomac Realty Trust as a Financial Analyst, where they evaluated portfolio performance and prepared due diligence materials for joint venture portfolios. William A. then moved to Rockwood Real Estate Advisors as an Analyst in the Capital Markets department, coordinating asset valuations and constructing cash flow models. Clarkson then joined Starwood Property Trust (formerly LNR Partners) as an Associate, focusing on real estate finance and loan workouts. William A. moved on to Ten-X Commercial as the Vice President of Capital Markets, managing non-performing CMBS loan dispositions. Currently, Clarkson is the Partner and Head of Distressed Investments at Torchlight Investors, where they established and leads the Miami office while overseeing a national portfolio of distressed commercial real estate loans and properties.
William A. Clarkson obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree in Finance from Roanoke College, which they attended from 2000 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, completing their studies from 2011 to 2013.
