Steve Robinson has over 17 years of experience as Head of Commissioning and Procurement at Cardiff County Council, where they managed a team of 40 staff and oversaw a procurement spend of over £660m. Steve led complex organizational change management programs and implemented Category Management and SAP purchase-to-pay systems. Steve also developed and implemented a socially responsible procurement strategy and policy. Steve also worked as a Project Manager for ERP implementation and as a Management Accountant at the Council's in-house highways direct service operation. Additionally, they have held roles as Head of Procurement at Monmouthshire County Council, Torfaen County Borough Council, and Vale of Glamorgan Council. Steve is currently the Managing Director of Atebion Solutions Limited, a company that delivers procurement and commercial services to the public sector. Steve is also the Chair of the WLGA National Procurement Network, where they have improved collaboration across local authorities and the wider public sector.

Steve Robinson holds an MSc in Strategic Procurement Management from the University of South Wales, a certification in MCIPS from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, and a degree in Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) from the University of Wales.
