JOB PURPOSE:

The Planner is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely planning and scheduling of materials, production processes, and inventory management to meet customer demands and company objectives. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, production, and sales teams to optimize resources and maintain delivery commitments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production Planning:

  • Develop and manage production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.

  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure schedules are feasible and align with capacity.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials and finished goods are maintained at optimal levels.

  • Identify potential shortages and initiate actions to address supply chain disruptions.

  • Material Requirement Planning (MRP):

  • Analyze material requirements based on production schedules and sales forecasts.

  • Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between sales, production, and logistics to ensure seamless operations.

  • Communicate schedule changes, delays, or constraints to relevant departments and stakeholders.

  • Update, on a regular basis, the times required for the execution of projects.

  • Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory, and procurement plans in ERP systems.

  • Generate and analyze reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies in planning processes and propose improvement strategies.

  • Implement best practices to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.

Perform any other task required by the Logistics Supervisor and the Operations Manager.

INTERNAL RELATIONS:

The employee reports to the Logistics Supervisor. The employee communicates regularly with the Sales, After-Sales Service, Administration, Engineering, Production.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work is done in an office environment. The employee spends most of their time at their desk. The normal work week is 48 hours.
