Henna Ekonoja

Henna Ekonoja has had a diverse range of roles and experiences throughout their work history. Henna is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Tornion kaupunki - City of Tornio since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the same organization from April 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining Tornion kaupunki, Henna was associated with CGI, where they held multiple roles. Henna served as the Test and Training Lead of the FI ITSM Upgrade Project from May 2020 to April 2021. Additionally, they worked as the Data Content Manager and Self-Service Portal Specialist from February 2011 to April 2021.

From 2004 to 2009, Henna worked at Logica, where they held the position of Service Owner (Lifecycle Services) and Team Leader from September 2009 to January 2011. Prior to that, they served as the Service Manager for Infra Solutions. Furthermore, they worked as a Technical Salesperson for Orbis Oy from May 2003 to January 2004 and as a Field Application Engineer for Arrow Finland from May 2001 to April 2003.

From 2015 to 2017, Henna attended Lapland University of Applied Sciences, where they earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree. Their field of study was the Degree Programme in Management of Technological Competence.

In 2008 and 2009, Henna studied at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Specialisation degree in Tietohallintojohtamisen erikoistumisopinnot (Specialization Studies in IT Management).

Between 1997 and 2002, Henna pursued a B.Sc degree at Kemi-Tornio polytechnic, The Unit of Technical Education. Their field of study was Information Technology, and they obtained the title of Engineer.

In 2015, they received the BMC Accredited Administrator: BMC MyIT 2.0 certification from BMC Software. In 2010, they obtained the ITIL V3 Foundation Examination certification from APM Group. Lastly, in 2005, Henna achieved the ITIL V2 Foundation certification from the Examination Institution for Information Science.
