Mark Howard is an experienced planning and development professional with a strong background in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Senior Manager at the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority since December 2020, Mark oversees a team responsible for the review of major development applications in multiple regions. Previous roles include Senior Planner with the City of Vaughan and positions at the City of Mississauga, where leadership was demonstrated in long-term planning and park asset management. Mark's early career highlights include work as a Community Planner with the City of Toronto and as an Urban Designer with the City of Mississauga. Educational qualifications include a Master of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Guelph, alongside a BES in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo.

With more than 60 years of experience, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is one of 36 Conservation Authorities in Ontario, created to safeguard and enhance the health and well-being of watershed communities through the protection and restoration of the natural environment and the ecological services the environment provides.
