Jake Tran has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jake currently works as a Surveyor for Accreditation Canada since September 2021. Additionally, Jake had entrepreneurial experience as the Chief Executive Officer of Respiratory Consultants Group Inc. - Charlton Respiratory Healthcare from January 2005 to September 2014, where they developed and implemented a business venture in home-based respiratory therapy. Jake also worked as a Professor at The Michener Institute from September 2004 to June 2009, where they developed course curriculum and provided mentorship to students in the pre-licensure Respiratory Therapy Program. Earlier in their career, Jake worked at VitalAire Canada Inc. from April 1997 to August 2004, starting as a Regional Account Manager & Long Term Care Facility Coordinator and later being promoted to oversee business operations and manage customer and vendor relations. From 2019 to 2023, they pursued a Ph.Dc. in Age and Health with a focus on Wound Prevention and Care at Queen's University.

Between 2015 and 2017, they completed a Master of Science degree in Community Health (MSc-CH) with a specialization in Wound Prevention and Care at the University of Toronto.

In 2015 and 2016, they obtained a Certificate in Interprofessional Applied Health Teaching (INTAPT) from the University of Toronto. During the same period, they also earned a Certificate in Advanced Health Leadership Program (AHLP) from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.

In 2013 and 2014, they pursued a Certificate in International Interprofessional Wound Care (IIWCC-CAN) from the University of Toronto.

Jake'searlier education includes a Master's level degree in Education, which they completed from 2000 to 2004 at the University of Toronto. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1997, they studied Respiratory Therapy at The Michener Institute and became a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Additionally, from 1990 to 1994, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physiology and Human Biology from the University of Toronto.
