Ismail Bawa

Ismail Bawa is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Detective Constable with the Toronto Police Service since October 2022. Previously, Ismail held the role of Police Officer with Peel Regional Police from August 2017 to October 2022 and served as a primary response officer. Ismail's career began at the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), where duties included fare inspection and transit operation from September 2014 to August 2017. Earlier roles include working as a security guard with Canada Lands Company at the CN Tower from March 2010 to September 2014, a Correctional Officer with the Government of Alberta from December 2008 to December 2010, and a transit operator for the City of Calgary in late 2008. Ismail's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Wilfrid Laurier University (2020-2025), a diploma from the Canadian Law Enforcement Training College (2007-2008), and an Ontario Secondary School Diploma from the Toronto District School Board (2003-2007).
