Saad Usmani has a diverse work experience in the field of economic research and analysis. Saad is currently serving as the Director of Economic Research at the Economic Blueprint Institute of the Toronto Region Board of Trade since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at EY from 2018 to 2021, starting as a Senior Analyst in Economic Advisory and later becoming a Manager. Saad also worked as a Policy Analyst at the Institute for Competitiveness & Prosperity from 2016 to 2018, where they contributed to various economic reports and research projects. Before that, they gained research experience as a Research Associate at Fourth Economy and Lawrence National Centre for Policy and Management. Saad also had a summer internship at Active Development and Merrill Lynch's Financial Training Program.

Saad Usmani completed their education with a Master's Degree in Economics from Duke University, from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Business Administration (HBA) from the Ivey Business School at Western University between 2011 and 2014. Additionally, Saad also obtained an Honors Specialization in Economics, Politics, and Philosophy from Western University, from 2009 to 2014.
