Dawn Marie Schlegel

Dawn Marie Schlegel is currently the AVP of Donor Relations and Engagement at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Dawn has held this position since January 2018. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Major Gifts and Donor Relations at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra from January 2018 to September 2022.

Dawn Marie Schlegel has also worked as the Associate Director of Community Investment at MaRS Discovery District from January 2007 to October 2009. From October 2009 to August 2015, they were the Associate Director of Development at the Canadian Opera Company. And from May 2003 to December 2006, they were the Donor Relations Manager at the Canadian Opera Company.

Most recently, Dawn Marie Schlegel was the Director of Development at the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto from August 2015 to January 2018. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of fundraising for the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Dawn Marie Schlegel has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto - Victoria University in English and Political Science. Dawn also has a Diploma in Funeral Service Education from Humber College.

They are on a team with Kevin Devaux - Director of Patron Services, Sally Szuster - VP, Communications, and Roberta Smith - VP & Chief of Staff. Their manager is Matthew Loden, CEO. and Hilary Knox - Associate Director, Donor Relations & Engagement reports to Dawn Marie Schlegel.
