Pierre Rivard is an accomplished arts educator and program manager with extensive experience in educational programming within the arts sector. Currently serving as the Family & School Programs Manager and Education Manager at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since November 2017, Pierre has been instrumental in planning and managing various educational activities, including School Concerts and Relaxed Concerts. Prior to this, Pierre held several positions at the Living Arts Centre Mississauga from September 2011 to October 2017, coordinating over 1,135 workshops for more than 27,000 students and training a team of 16 artist-educators. Additional experience includes roles as an Art Educator and Supervisor at Harbourfront Centre, where Pierre ensured high-quality, age-appropriate programming for camp attendees. Pierre holds a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Ottawa.
