The current leadership team of the Toronto & York Region Labour Council have a wide range of experiences and backgrounds in education and labour. Their previous experiences include working as a national representative for Unifor, a labour liaison and campaign coordinator for United Way, and an instructor for literacy and basic skills at the Labour Education Centre. They have also worked as a constituency assistant to Councillor Joe Mihevc at the City of Toronto, a graduate research assistant at the X* Centre for Immigration and Settlement (RCIS), and a teaching assistant at X University. In addition to their work experience, they also have a wide range of educational backgrounds, including degrees from McMaster University, York University, Humber College, and Ryerson University.
