Mike Pellegrino

Mike Pellegrino has a diverse work experience in the legal field, primarily focused on investment management. Mike is currently serving as the General Counsel at Toroso Investments since 2022. Prior to that, they founded their own law practice called Pellegrino, LLC in 2008, where they provided legal advice to investment advisers and supported various investment products.

Before starting their own practice, Pellegrino worked as the Chief Legal Officer at ADVISORport, Inc. (now Lockwood, a BNY Mellon company) from 2004 to 2008. In this role, they provided comprehensive legal guidance to the SEC registered investment adviser and negotiated various agreements.

From 2001 to 2004, Pellegrino served as a Senior Counsel at PFPC Worldwide Inc. (now a BNY Mellon Company). Here, they advised on various divisions, including transfer agency, fund accounting, regulatory administration, and custody. Additionally, they acted as primary legal counsel for mutual fund wrap processing and integrated banking transaction services.

Pellegrino's earlier roles include being a Senior Counsel, Assistant VP, and Assistant Secretary at Delaware Investments from 1998 to 2001. Mike also worked as an Associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP from 1996 to 1998, where they provided advice to registered investment companies. Prior to that, they began their career as an Associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP from 1993 to 1996, where they provided advice on securities law matters to registered investment companies.
