Saurab Regmi

Saurab Regmi has worked as a Power Electrical Engineer at Torus since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Voith Digital Solutions from 2014-2023, taking on various roles such as Engineer II - R&D, Design Engineer - Protection and Control, Design Engineer - Excitation System, and Design Engineer - Automation Control System. Saurab'sresponsibilities included designing and testing hydro generator and transformer protection systems, performing inspections of site installations, and developing hardware configurations and design specifications for automation control systems. Before their work at Voith, they were a HydroPower Commissioning Engineer at Voith Hydro from 2013-2014, and also worked briefly in student calling and sports officiating roles at SCSU Survey Center and SCSU Campus Recreation, respectively.

Saurab Regmi has a Master of Science degree in Power Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they earned from 2016 to 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from St. Cloud State University from 2008 to 2012. Before attending college in the United States, they completed a 2-year college program in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology at Capital College and Research Center from 2005 to 2007 in their home country. Regmi also received a High School diploma from Dipendra Police Higher Secondary School from 1999-2004. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including OSHA 30 Hour Construction, Engineer In Training, and OSHA 10 Hour Construction.
