Shyam Venkataraman

Shyam Venkataraman is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in cloud engineering and risk governance. Currently serving as the Executive Head of Cloud Engineering at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions since 2022, Venkataraman has held prominent positions at leading organizations, including Chief of Cloud Technology Risk & Governance at Citi and Global Head of Cloud Engineering at American Express. Prior roles include Head of AWS Cloud & App Engineering at DAQRI and Global Head of Engineering at HP. Venkataraman began the career as a UI/UX Software Engineer at Xerox Corporation and has a strong educational background, holding a PhD in Imaging Science from Rochester Institute of Technology, an MBA in Finance & General Management from Drexel University, and a BE in Electronics & Communications from Madurai Kamaraj University, along with executive education from The Wharton School.
