Eden Sungtae Kim

Eden Sungtae Kim has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. They started their career as a Junior Software Research Engineer at LG Electronics in 2006 and progressed through various positions within the company, including Research Engineer and Senior Research Engineer. In these roles, they focused on mobile security and enterprise mobility, conducting code reviews, performing data encryption, and addressing reported security issues.

In 2016, Kim joined LINE Plus Corp, where they served as an Application Security Engineer/Architect for LINE Pay. They were responsible for ensuring the security of LINE's payment platform and contributed to the design and implementation of security measures.

Kim also worked as an Application Security Architect for the Global LINE Bank and Crypto Currency Exchange divisions of LINE Plus Corp. They were involved in security architecture design, research on blockchain security, cryptocurrency wallet management, and trading security.

From 2020 to 2022, Kim held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at both LINE Biz Plus and LINE Financial Plus, where they were responsible for overseeing the information security function of the companies.

Currently, Kim serves as the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) at Toss, a subsidiary of Viva Republica, as well as the CPO (Chief Privacy Officer) for the same organization from 2023.

Eden Sungtae Kim pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, from 2014 to 2015.
