John Connolly

Director of Field Operations at Total Safety Consulting, LLC

John Connolly has in excess of 34 years experience in the construction industry with more than 22 years dedicated specifically to safety management. He is Director of Field Operations in the Technical Services Group for TSC. John is a NYC Licensed Site Safety Manager and is responsible for the managing the direct supervision and coordination of approximately 120 safety professionals working on major construction projects. In addition, John is one of the lead environmental health and safety instructors for TSC.

John has a vast knowledge of local and federal building code rules and, in particular, safety code regulations with field experience on countless high-rise construction projects. Prior to joining TSC, John was Director of Safety at Atlantic-Heydt Scaffolding and Hoist Corp. where he was responsible for coordinating the effective enforcement of the safety of personnel on all high-rise construction and alteration projects throughout the NYC area. In addition, John monitored, mentored and regularly trained more than 100 employees to enforce and recommend safety and health practices, prepared site-specific safety and health programs as well as hazard communication programs. He also worked with staff to eliminate potential citations as well as prepare preventative safety procedures in concert with the U.S. Dept. of Labor (OSHA).

John studied Civil Engineering and Business Management at Lehman College and has participated in several continuing education programs. He has multiple licenses and training certifications from organizations such as OSHA, FDNY, NYC District Council of Carpenters, Department of Transportation, United States Department of Labor, Metropolitan Transit Authority, and New Jersey Transit. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). John was featured in The New York Real Estate Journal as Executive of the Month.
