Frederic Contie

Frederic Contie has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Frederic began their career at Gaseba, where they worked as a Project Leader, managing strategic studies and the implementation of management systems. Frederic then joined Dalkia as an Energy Markets Analyst, providing support for gas sourcing and system specifications. Contie later joined POWEO, where they held various roles, including Gas Trader, Head of Gas Trading, and Trading, Optimisation, and Origination Director, managing teams and overseeing wholesale activities and asset optimization. Frederic then joined Direct Energie as Strategy and Development Director, leading strategic planning and international development efforts, and later became the Managing Director for Direct Energie Belgium. Currently, Contie is working at TotalEnergies as the Chief Information Officer and Operations Director, responsible for leading a team and implementing transformations related to company integration and market design evolution in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Frederic Contie attended Lycée Louis Massignon in Abu Dhabi from 1987 to 1990. Frederic then went on to Collège Stanislas in Paris from 1990 to 1996. After that, they studied at Centrale Lille from 1996 to 1998 and obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur. In 1998-1999, Frederic studied Ocean Engineering at CentraleSupélec. Later, from 1999 to 2000, they pursued a Maîtrise in Economics and Business Management at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
