Sune Malthe-Thagaard

Sune Malthe-Thagaard is an experienced economist currently serving as Chefanalytiker og talsperson at Totalkredit and Chefanalytiker for Nykredit Markets since December 2019, specializing in Japanese economic analysis and its impact on Danish interest rates. Prior to these roles, Sune worked as a Senior Economist at Danmarks Nationalbank from October 2012 to November 2019, focusing on the Danish economy, housing market, and private consumption, and also analyzed the Faroese economy. In 2018, Sune contributed to the OECD as an economist, co-authoring the Economic Survey for Denmark. Sune’s academic background includes a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the same institution, complemented by a brief visit to York University. Teaching experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant for Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at the University of Copenhagen.
