Alana Fitz

Alana Fitz has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In 2016, they were a Peer Tutor at the Penn State Intensive English Communication Program Tutoring Center and a Student Mentor at the State College Area School District. In 2017, they were a Professional Development School (PDS) Intern at the State College Area School District. In 2018, they were an English as a Second Language Teacher at Anuban Trang School. In 2019, they were a Product Development Associate at Westman Atelier. In 2020, they were a Case Manager Intern at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley and a Project Manager at Totem.

Alana Fitz has a diverse educational background. Alana earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State between 2014 and 2018. In 2016 and 2017, they attended The Umbra Institute. Prior to that, they attended Fox Lane High School from 2010 to 2014. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including How In Vitro Tests Can Contribute to More Human-Relevant Safety Evaluations from The In-Cosmetics Group in April 2020, Ocean Safe Beauty from The In-Cosmetics Group in April 2020, PA Instructional I Teaching, Secondary English from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Penn State University, Facilitating Critical Conversations Workshop from Teaching Tolerance, and Social Justice Teaching 101 Workshop from Teaching Tolerance.
