Mike Thackery MCIPD has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Mike currently holds the position of Group Human Resources Director at Totemic, a role they started in September 2023. Previously, they worked as the Head of HR at PayPlan from October 2021 to September 2023. Before that, they were the Human Resources Manager at Vale Garden Houses Ltd from November 2020 to October 2021. In February 2020, they founded their own consultancy, All HR, where they served as the Owner/Director until November 2020. Prior to their consultancy, they held various HR roles at Ikano Bank, including Head of HR UK from November 2018 to September 2019 and HR Business Partner from October 2016 to November 2017. Mike also has experience as an HR Director at Avalon Cabins from February 2015 to September 2017. Additionally, they worked as an HR Business Partner at Totemic from 2009 to 2015, a Consultant at Hays Accountancy & Finance from 2007 to 2009, and a Sales Manager at Phones4u from 2005 to 2007.
Mike Thackery MCIPD began their education at the King's School in Grantham from 1992 to 1998, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Later, they attended the University of Lincoln from 2011 to 2013, earning a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. Additionally, in June 2016, Mike obtained the Chartered CIPD certification from the CIPD institution.
