David Gell

David Gell is the Chief Commercial Officer at Totum, a position they have held since March 2020.

Previously, they were the Chief Marketing Officer at VIE Technologies from October 2017 to March 2020. At VIE, David was responsible for enabling industrial facilities to reach world-class levels of operational excellence and efficiency through the use of their self-contained, predictive maintenance solution.

Before VIE, David was the Chief Strategy Officer at Nestwave from June 2017 to April 2021. At Nestwave, they worked on advanced software geolocation solutions for IoT that didn't require a positioning chipset.

From July 2016 to July 2017, David worked as the Head of Business Strategy for HP's Immersive Computing division. In this role, they were responsible for business strategy consulting and partner development.

David has also held positions as an advisor for Olympus Sky Technologies, S.A. from January 2016 to April 2020 and Planck Aerosystems from May 2018 to January 2020.

Prior to their current role, David was the CTO and Co-Founder at WiLAN from November 2007 to March 2016. David was also the CTO and VP Engineering at Solectek from August 2000 to October 2010.

David Gell received their BSEE from the University of Pennsylvania and their MSEE from Carnegie Mellon University, both in the field of Control Systems.

David Gell reports to Ted Myers, CEO. David Gell works with Scott Hughes - CFO & COO, Matthew Hughes - CTO, and Eber Lambert - VP, Product Development.
