André Valera

André Valera has worked in the business development field since 2013. Theirfirst role was as a Project Consultant at Pronucase, where they were responsible for business processes optimization and compliance of operational systems. André then moved to Petrobras Global Trading B.V. as a Mechanical Engineer, where they were a Project Manager for the Mechanical Project of parameterization for an hexapod robot. In 2014, they joined In Flight Solutions Group as a Director of Business Development and Senior Project Manager, where they were responsible for Business Development, Strategic Planning, and Tenders, RFP, RFI. In 2017, they moved to Touch Inflight Solutions as a Director of Business Development, where they were responsible for acquiring new businesses and contracts worth $30M+. In 2019, they moved to Oxygen as a Director of Business Development, where they launched the Airport Lounge offering. In 2020, they joined ABOVE as Managing Director & VP Business Development, where they were responsible for the end-to-end establishment of the Joint-Venture between media management partner Touch and media tech partner CastLabs. Finally, in 2022 they joined Conetic as Vice President Business Development, where they are responsible for expanding the traveler's journey and implementing the group's vision.

André Valera completed a High-School Science & Technology Course at Salesianos, Oficinas de S. José from 2000 to 2008. André then attended Instituto Superior Técnico from 2008 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Mechanical Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. In 2012 and 2013, they participated in an Undergraduate Exchange Program at USP - Universidade de São Paulo in Mechanical Engineering and Aerodynamics. In 2015, they completed a Business Strategy Postgraduate Course at Imperial College Business School. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: INSEAD - Innovation in the Age of Disruption from INSEAD in December 2020, and Harvard University Verified Certificate - ContractsX: From Trust to Promise to Contract from Harvard University in December 2016.
