Andres Oropeza

Andres Oropeza has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Andres began their career in 2011 as a cook at arepa café, where they learned to prepare traditional dishes of Venezuelan cuisine. Andres then worked as front-of-house staff at Soho House & Co from 2015 to 2018 and at The Spoke Club in 2018. In 2018, they also worked as a UX/UI designer contractor for their own company, Andres Oropeza. Their most recent position is at TouchBistro, where they started as a Product Support Technician in January 2019. Andres then progressed to Senior Product Support Specialist in October 2019 and is currently a Team Lead - Product Support since March 2021.

Andres Oropeza's education history includes a brief period of study in UX & Product Design at General Assembly Canada in 2018, and another brief period of study in Web Development at BrainStation in 2017. Andres also attended the English School of Canada from 2010 to 2011, where they focused on English as a second language, specifically TOEFL - IELTS. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas.

In terms of certifications, Andres completed a Mentorship Program from Jumpstart Refugee Talent and obtained certifications in Project Management Skills for Leaders from LinkedIn in 2022. Additionally, they received a certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from the Canadian Red Cross in 2016.
