Touchstone Institute
Carmen Chirila is a seasoned language assessor with extensive experience in language screening and assessment, currently employed at LCCLC and YMCA since 2020 and 2013, respectively. Carmen administers CLB assessment tools, refers clients to suitable language training programs, and maintains collaborative relationships with community partners. Additionally, Carmen serves as a writing examiner for the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks and has contributed to various assessment-related roles, including conducting speaking tests for internationally trained nurses at Touchstone Institute and participating in standard-setting workshops for IELCA tests. Carmen's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Transylvania University, CLBA Assessor Certification, and TESL instructor certifications from CCLCS.
