Shannon Maunder

Standardized Patient/actor at Touchstone Institute

Shannon Maunder is a skilled professional with extensive experience in the performing arts and experiential learning. Currently serving as a Standardized Patient for Experiential Learning at the University of Toronto since August 2019, Shannon teaches communication skills to medical students. Additionally, Shannon has been engaged as a Standardized Patient/Actor at Touchstone Institute since July 2014 and previously held similar roles at PharmAchieve Corporation Ltd. and Haunted Walks, Inc. Shannon also contributed to the arts as a Venue Coordinator for The Lab Cab Festival and served as an Assistant Producer for the play "Emotional Creature" at Young People's Theatre. Earlier roles include Arts Administrator at STAF, where Shannon managed publicity and general operations for small theatre clients, and Producer for Toronto Youth Theatre's production of "BARE: A Pop Opera." Shannon's educational background includes a B.A. (Hons) from York University and a Summer Intensive in Performance from Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater.
