Mark Wesson

Mark Wesson serves as Vice President of External Manufacturing at Tourmaline Bio since September 2022, previously holding the position of Senior Director in the same division. With extensive experience in biologics, Wesson has played key roles at prominent companies including Exelixis as Senior Director of Biologics Process, Harpoon Therapeutics as Director of CMC Outsourcing, and Gilead Sciences as Associate Director of Biologics Outsourcing. Wesson's expertise encompasses oversight of external cGMP manufacturing, management of outsourced activities for clinical products, and collaboration with domestic and international CDMOs. Prior to these roles, Wesson contributed at Geron, PDL BioPharma, and Scios, Inc., demonstrating a strong track record in cell culture development and technology transfer. Wesson holds a BS in Biology from San José State University and a Project and Program Management Certificate from UC Santa Cruz Extension.
