Matthew Taylor

Matthew Taylor is an experienced professional in the field of Operational Technology, currently serving as the Team Lead at Tourmaline Oil Corp since September 2014. In this role, Matthew focuses on standardizing, securing, and supporting various operational technologies, including SCADA, EFM, HMI, PLC, and cybersecurity, to facilitate optimal operational decisions. Prior to this, Matthew held the position of Measurement Specialist at Tourmaline, where responsibilities included leading the production measurement program and ensuring regulatory compliance. Matthew's career also includes roles at TransCanada as a SCADA Specialist, overseeing engineering projects for pipeline and terminal SCADA systems, and at Encana Corporation as both a SCADA & Control Systems Programmer and an Instrumentation Technician, gaining extensive experience in controls, automation, and industrial instrumentation. Matthew holds a Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
