João Câmara

João Câmara has amassed a diverse range of work experience throughout their career. João currently holds the position of Head of Business Development, EMEA at TourRadar, a role they started in February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of In Canto Lagoa das Furnas, overseeing two rural accommodations and a park from January 2018 until February 2023. João also worked as the Head of Account Management Portugal at Just Eat Takeaway.com from August 2021 to April 2022. Earlier, they held the position of Executive Director at Azores Youth Hostels from January 2021 to August 2021, where they were responsible for restarting and reshaping the five hostels across five islands. Additionally, they served as the Operations Director at Inovtravel from January 2019 to January 2021, contributing to the growth of the company's revenue and team size. João began their tenure at Booking.com in December 2012 as an Account Manager Hotels, achieving high levels of partner satisfaction and managing the Northern Office in Oporto. João later became a Senior Account Manager Hotels, focused on partner relations and achieving targets. Before that, they held various positions such as Contracting at Full Services Group, Project Manager at Active Break, Sales Representative at Soltrópico - Operador Turístico, MTP and Sales Trainee at Dom Pedro Hotels.

João Câmara completed their secondary education at Escola Secundaria Antero de Quental from 1999 to 2005. João then pursued higher education and graduated from Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril with a degree in Hotel Management Studies from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they also attended the University of Birmingham and earned a Licentiate degree in Hospitality from 2007 to 2008.
