Matthew Nicholls

Matthew Nicholls is the Chief Financial Officer at Tourvest Destination Management, a division of Tourvest Holdings (Pty) Ltd. Matthew is responsible for overseeing the finance function for operations throughout South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, East Africa and the United Kingdom.

Nicholls began their career as an Audit Trainee at Deloitte South Africa where they contributed to audits for listed and unlisted clients in the manufacturing, leasing, service, mining, construction, communications and finance sectors. Matthew served as Auditor in Charge on four engagements and also assumed Audit Manager responsibilities on a project.

In their current role at Tourvest Destination Management, Nicholls is responsible for managing the financial strategy of the various entities, implementing internal control changes throughout the division, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis. Matthew also works with the CEO to implement strategic changes.

Matthew Nicholls has a Bachelor of Commerce Honours from Nelson Mandela University, a Bachelor of Commerce from Nelson Mandela University, and is a Chartered Accountant from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. Matthew has also completed the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Assessment of Professional Competence and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Initial Test of Competence.
