Carol Svenson

Carol Svenson is an experienced educator and community leader with a diverse background in education, urban planning, and data collection. Currently serving as a substitute teacher for all Arlington, Massachusetts schools since 2012, Carol excels in adapting to varying lesson plans and managing classroom environments. As a co-chair of the Master Plan Advisory Committee, Carol has contributed to the development of community visions in compliance with state requirements. Previously, as an Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau in 2020, Carol demonstrated strong organizational skills while independently collecting census data. Earlier in their career, Carol served as a City Planning Commissioner in Midland, Michigan, overseeing property plans and zoning updates. Carol holds a Master of Science in Agriculture Economics from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Operations from the University of Maryland, where Carol was a recipient of the Winslow Foundation Scholarship.
