Shane Fox

Shane Fox currently serves as the Town Manager for the Town of Blowing Rock since May 2024, having previously held the same title in the same municipality from May 2019 to June 2023. Prior to this role, Shane was the County Manager for Alexander County, NC, from June 2023 to May 2024, and served as CFO/Deputy County Manager for Cleveland County from April 2018 to May 2019. Shane's extensive experience in public administration includes the position of Executive Director at the High Country Council of Government from March 2015 to April 2018, and an Audit Manager role at Martin Starnes & Associates, CPAs, P.A., from December 2005 to January 2015. Shane began a career in accounting as a Senior Accountant at Gilliam Bell Moser LLP from January 2001 to November 2005. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Appalachian State University, an Associate's degree from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, and a high school diploma from South Caldwell High School.
