Deb Cook

Debra Cook is an experienced public administrator, currently serving as the Town Manager of the Town of Brownsburg since January 2020 and previously as Co-Interim Town Manager and Economic Development Director. At the Town of Brownsburg, the focus is on marketing the community to diversify the tax base and enhance employment and retail options. From July 2007 to December 2019, Debra was the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Kokomo Housing Authority, where the authority provided affordable housing to low and middle-income residents. Additionally, Debra held the position of Director of Economic and Community Development in Kokomo, managing strategic partnerships and development initiatives. Academic involvement includes teaching grant writing as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Indiana University Kokomo from August 2009 to December 2019. Debra also served as a Commissioner for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, contributing to strategic planning for public higher education in Indiana. Debra holds a Master's degree in Public Management from Indiana University Kokomo and a Bachelor's degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
