Chad Gaines

Chad Gaines is an experienced IT professional and freelance musician with a diverse background in technology and the arts. Currently serving as a Systems Administrator for the Town of Cary, Chad supports marketing and IT for city government, including critical public safety departments. Previous roles include IT Support Engineer at DS Smith and ISD/Desktop Support Specialist at UNC REX Healthcare, where Chad led teams and managed multiple projects. Chad's early career features significant achievements as an IT Technology Technician at Chatham County Schools and an Information Technology Specialist at Chatham Charter School, where a grant was successfully secured for a major technology rollout. In addition to a robust IT career, Chad has maintained a long-standing music career, taking on roles as a writer, arranger, director, and performer across multiple bands in the Southeast. Chad holds a BS in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
