Karen Whitney McIp Rpp

Karen Whitney MCIP RPP is an accomplished planning professional with extensive experience in land use planning and community development. Currently serving as the Director of Development Services and previously as the Director of Community Planning and Development Services for York Region since May 2002, Karen oversees the integration of land use planning with infrastructure delivery and the implementation of regional policies. Prior experience includes a managerial role in Planning & Infrastructure Integration and serving as a Senior Planner in the Town of Georgina. In addition to municipal roles, contributions to the community include board leadership at Glacier Ski Club. Educational credentials include a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership from the Schulich School of Business and an Hon. B.A. in Geography from Western University.
