Megan Granato serves as the Sustainability and Resilience Manager for the Town of Groton since August 2022, spearheading the Resilient Groton program and addressing key environmental challenges such as flooding and extreme heat. Prior experience includes roles at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, where Megan managed a team overseeing over $50 million in funding for Chesapeake Bay restoration initiatives. Responsibilities involved developing partnerships, implementing restoration strategies, and providing technical assistance for environmental projects. Additional experience includes positions focused on restoration ecology and natural resource management across various organizations. Megan holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resources/Ecological Restoration from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Hamilton College.
