James Bailey

James Bailey has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology. James is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at the Town of Paradise Valley since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the VP of Operations & Technology at Areté Collective from August 2020 to March 2021, where they planned and executed hospitality technology frameworks and managed technology planning for new development projects.

From February 2019 to July 2020, James held the position of Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Discovery Land Company, overseeing various teams and leading data center migration and hosting upgrades. Before that, they served as the Chief Information Officer at Augusta National Golf Club from February 2014 to February 2019.

Prior to their extensive tenure in these notable positions, James held senior business technology leadership roles in various companies from 1994 to 2014.

James Bailey has completed an MBA in Information Systems (AACSB) from Wright State University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a focus on Business/Managerial Economics from Bellevue University. In addition to their degrees, James has also obtained certifications including a Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
