Adam Smith

Adam Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in planning and development services, currently serving as the Director of Planning and Development Services for the Town of The Blue Mountains since June 2022. Previously, Adam held leadership roles including Director of Development Services and Special Projects and Research Officer at the City of Kenora from January 2016 to June 2022 and served as a Municipal Advisor at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in early 2016. Adam's prior roles include positions at Ontario's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Queen's University, the Department of National Defence, and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, demonstrating a diverse background across public administration, policy analysis, and project management. Adam holds a Master of Public Administration from Queen's University, a Municipal Administration Program certification from AMCTO, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Brock University.
