Town of Wolfville
It comes as no surprise that Wolfville is the fastest-growing community in Nova Scotia. Here people find the perfect mix of small-town livability and urban energy. Of old-fashioned values and new-fangled ideas. Of heritage homes and knowledge-based businesses. Only an hour from Halifax, Wolfville is an historic town that’s proud of its enlightened views on sustainability and diversity. We became the country’s first Fair Trade town. With care and deliberation, we’ve created the community we want to live in. If you like your food slow and your wine nouveau, Wolfville’s the place to be. And speaking of wine, we’re the hub of l’Acadie blanc country. Seven vineyards now encircle the town. There’s no need to hop on a plane for a wine tour any more. Just get on your bike. We balance our love of the finer things in life with our love of the great outdoors. Maybe it has something to do with the 3500 students who arrive at Acadia each fall, but there’s a youthful feel here. People of all ages can be seen running, hiking, biking, skiing or - when the tide’s right - sliding down mud flats on their bellies. Music, art, theatre, cinema, sport – Wolfville punches way above its weight in all these areas. No wonder our area hotels, motels, historic inns and B&Bs bustle with cultural tourists from Halifax to Helsinki. Town and gown. Urban and rural. Hard work and good fun. In perfect balance. In the perfect place. At the perfect time. Wolfville. Just perfection.
