Melissa Lavanco

Melissa Lavanco has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Melissa is currently working as the Director of Sales at TownePlace Suites by Marriott since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Sales Manager at Courtyard by Marriott from February 2021 to February 2022. From September 2019 to February 2021, Melissa served as a Sales Coordinator at Residence Inn. Melissa also gained experience as a Bartender/Server at Ryan's Pub and Sports Bar from 2012 to 2021. In 2019, they briefly worked as a Sales and Catering Coordinator at Molly Pitcher Inn and Oyster Point Hotel. Melissa's earlier roles include Operations Manager and Housekeeping Manager at Residence Inn by Marriott from 2016 to 2018, and Front Desk staff from 2016 to 2017. In 2008, they started their career as a Summer Theater Camp Counselor at East Brunswick Recreation, where they worked until 2013.

Melissa Lavanco completed their Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management at Brookdale Community College from 2011 to 2014. Melissa then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Stockton University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016.
