Jonathan Weiland

Jonathan Weiland has extensive experience in education and robotics, currently serving as a member of the Illinois FTC Leadership Team since September 2011, where involvement includes mentoring high school students in the FIRST Tech Challenge, promoting STEM education through competitive robotics. In addition, Jonathan has been a teacher at Township District 113 since August 1993, specializing in biology and mentoring robotics teams. Jonathan also served as an Affiliate Partner for FIRST from 2012 to 2017. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Michigan, obtained between 1978 and 1982.
