Avril Tanner

Avril Tanner has extensive experience in emergency management, serving as the Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC) for the Township of Woolwich since June 2017, and previously with the City of Kitchener from June 1991 to June 2017. Key roles included acting as CEMC from January 2015 to April 2016, along with various administrative and IT project management positions where Avril facilitated the development of governance processes and managed corporate projects. Educational qualifications include training from Emergency Management Ontario, the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management, various colleges including the University of Waterloo and Mohawk College, and completion of several leadership and project management courses.
