Patricia Westerman

Patricia Westerman serves as the Assistant Provost for the Faculty Academic Center of Excellence at Towson University since June 2019, following her role as Chair of the Council of University System Faculty at the University System of Maryland from August 2018 to June 2019. With extensive experience at Bowie State University as a Professor from August 1997 to May 2019, Patricia has taught undergraduate courses in child and adolescent development, social psychology, and sports psychology while engaging in research on innovative higher education practices, student learning assessment, and issues surrounding sexual consent and violence. Additionally, extensive leadership roles include serving as Chair of the Faculty Senate, Departmental Assessment Coordinator, and Co-Chair of the Middle States Steering Committee during the university's accreditation processes. Patricia Westerman holds a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology from The Catholic University of America.
