Juan Salcedo

Juan Salcedo is a Colombian entrepreneur and business executive. Juan is the co-founder of Tpaga, a financial technology company based in Bogotá. Juan also has experience in the fields of audio and telecommunications.

Salcedo was born in 1981 in Bogotá. Juan studied business administration at the Pontifical Xavierian University, graduating in 2003. Juan began their career working in the customer service department of a local telecommunications company. In 2005, they joined Voice123.com, an online marketplace for voice talent, as CEO and marketing manager.

In 2008, Salcedo co-founded Language123.com, a website for language learners, where they served as manager and partner. The following year, they left Voice123 to join Cotiza.co, a Colombian startup, as co-founder and head of strategy, marketing, and business development.

In 2013, Salcedo co-founded Tappsi, a taxi-hailing app, where they served as CEO for five years. In 2018, they co-founded Tpaga, a financial technology company that allows users to make online payments. Salcedo currently serves as co-founder and CEO of Tpaga.

Juan Salcedo attended Harvard Business School Executive Education's Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures - Endeavor Executive Program in 2018. Juan also attended Y Combinator's S17 in 2017 and Stanford University Graduate School of Business's Endeavor Innovation and Growth Program in 2016. Juan Salcedo holds a Master Executive from Escuela de Organización Industrial in the field of Business Administration which they obtained in 2005. Juan also has a Graduate degree from Universidad de Los Andes in Industrial Engineering from 1998.
