Denis Berdoz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Denis began their career in 1986 as a Chef de projets at PSA Peugeot Citroën and then joined Swatch Group as the Chef du Département Véhicules. In 1995, they became a Member of the Management at Aéroport International de Genève before transitioning to the role of Director at Mauerhofer & Zuber SA. In 2015, Berdoz was appointed as the General Director at Transports publics genevois. Recently, they have held various positions including being a Member of the Committee at Union des transports publics (UTP), a Member of the Strategic Council at Alliance SwissPass, and an elected member of the Club des 100.

Denis Berdoz started their education at the Gymnase du Belvédère in Lausanne, where they pursued a "Double maturité" degree in both Latin and Science. Denis then continued their studies at EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) from 1981 to 1986, earning a Diplôme d'Ingénieur in Mechanical Engineering. In 1983, they also attended Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA, where they achieved recognition by being listed on the Dean's List for their studies in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. Later, from 1999 to 2001, Denis Berdoz attended the EU Business School (former European University) in Geneva and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
