Amir Salimi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Amir started their career as a Product Engineer at AVA Co., where they worked from February 2004 to August 2006. Amir then joined Oil Turbo Compressor as a Project Engineer, handling various projects in the oil and gas sector from August 2006 to August 2009.
Amir then pursued further education and research at the University of Houston, where they served as a Research Assistant at the Dynamical Systems and Control Lab from August 2009 to December 2012.
Amir transitioned back to the industry and joined DeepFlex as a Product Engineer from December 2012 to November 2013. Amir then took on the role of Engineering Project Manager at DeepFlex from November 2013 to July 2015.
Amir's most recent position was at TPI Composites, Inc., a global composites supplier for wind turbine OEMs. Amir started as a Program Manager in July 2015 and progressed to Senior Engineer (March 2017 to March 2018), Engineering Leader - Innovation and Technology (March 2018 to May 2019), Manager - Global Technology Programs (May 2019 to September 2020), and Senior Manager - Global Technology Programs (September 2020 to December 2021). Currently, they hold the position of Director, Manufacturing Technology since January 2022.
Amir Salimi has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, which they earned from 2000 to 2005. Amir then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic, completing it from 2006 to 2008. Amir Salimi furthered their education at the University of Houston, where they obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2013.
