Tariq Rafiq is a seasoned insurance and reinsurance professional with over 37 years of experience in the industry. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Reinsurance at TPL Insurance since October 2024, Tariq leads the Reinsurance function with a focus on enhancing cost-effective methods for treaty placements. Prior to this role, Tariq held the position of Senior Vice President at Jubilee General Insurance Company Ltd from August 1988 to September 2025, where responsibilities included coordinating data analysis for improving underwriting margins and reducing reinsurance costs. Tariq holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Karachi University and a Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
