Nina Wafula

Lead Service Designer at TPXimpact

Nina Wafula has a diverse work experience starting in 2007 as a Design Consultant/Researcher at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Nina then worked as an Interior Designer at One Red Wall and as an Innovation Consultant at Innovation Unit. Nina also held roles as a Design Facilitator at Makeright Academy with Design Against Crime and as an Interior Architect at Softroom Ltd. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the Research and Innovation Lead at Optivo. Nina transitioned into service design, working as a Senior Service Designer at Citizens Advice, FutureGov NOW TPXimpact, and most recently at TPXimpact, where they are currently the Lead Service Designer. Additionally, they were a steering group member and builder for 81 Acts of Exuberant Defiance, a community-driven cultural program. Overall, Nina Wafula has a strong background in design, innovation, and service design.

Nina Wafula has a diverse education history. Nina obtained a Master's Degree in Innovation Management from the University of the Arts London from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Interior Design from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007 and 2008. Nina also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Design and Applied Arts: Interior Design from Edinburgh College of Art, which they completed from 2004 to 2007. In 2003 and 2004, they pursued Diploma Foundation Studies in Art and Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, University of Arts London. Nina'searlier education includes attending James Allen's Girls' School from 1995 to 2002. Furthermore, they obtained a certification as a Certified coach from the MOE Foundation in 2021.
