Brian Plymale

Brian Plymale has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and network engineering, starting their career with the United States Marine Corps in 2003. Brian has worked in various roles for multiple organizations, including DISA, where they served as the Network Support and Security Technical Lead and Team Supervisor. Plymale also owned and operated their own business, Plymale Communications, where they provided network and security services for small businesses and taught computer safety to children and parents. Additionally, Plymale has experience as a Cyber Trainer providing the Army's best and brightest penetration testers with training in pentest methodologies, techniques, and tools. Most recently, Plymale has been working as a Splunk Architect for companies like iSenpai and GCyber. Overall, Plymale has a deep understanding of network defense, incident detection and response, computer network defense, and security protocols.

Brian Plymale received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Networking and Security from Park University in the period covering 2008 to 2017. Brian then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2018 and 2019. Brian has also obtained the CEH certification from EC-Council for Information Security in 2010 and 2011 and the CCNA Security certification from Cisco Academy and the Security+ certification from CompTia. Additionally, Brian has obtained two certifications in Splunk Enterprise Administration and Architecture. Finally, they hold a CISSP certification from ISC2.
