Min-Yi Shen

Min-Yi Shen has extensive work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. They most recently worked as a Principal Data Scientist at Traceable starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, including Data Science Manager for Clearpass device insight from 2020 to 2023, and Senior Data Scientist from 2017 to 2020. In these roles, they worked on projects focused on user behavior modeling, IoT device detection and classification, entity peer group detection, and user behavior analytics and botnet detection using machine learning methods.

Before joining Aruba, Min-Yi Shen worked as a Data Scientist at Niara, Inc. from 2014 to 2017, where they were responsible for all aspects of the data science process, from data collection and cleaning to model development, validation, and deployment. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Engineer at Cisco from 2011 to 2014, where they focused on big data machine learning in network security. In this role, they used various machine learning methods, such as Bayesian network models and graph-based data mining, to analyze and secure network data.

Min-Yi Shen's early career experience includes working as a Staff Engineer at Life Technologies from 2008 to 2011. In this role, they worked on data analysis and algorithm development for processing and correcting sequencing data generated by the SOLiD sequencer.
